Grand Circuit action once again returned to Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing and Casino with Circle City Stakes highlighting the 14-race Friday night card. Favourites reigned supreme with impressive efforts in the three-year-old stakes, but Cash Infusion stole the show with a track record performance in the sophomore filly trot.
Two $57,000 divisions of the New York Sire Stakes for three-year-old pacing fillies were on tap on Wednesday (Aug. 17) at Batavia Downs, and 10 of the state's best bred female side-wheelers were on hand to compete for their share of it.
One of the longest-standing track records at Yonkers Raceway fell on Tuesday night when Gotthegreenlight won the second of two $85,500 New York Sire Stakes divisions for three-year-old pacing fillies in 1:51.3, knocking a fifth of a second off the 1:51.4 mark that Charisma Hanover set back on October 26, 2013. Patsville captured the other section.
