2 charged with murder in connection to shooting at Denver bus stop

DENVER â A pair of men accused of killing two people at a Denver bus stop on April 1 have been officially charged with murder.
On Tuesday, Denver District Attorney Beth McCann announced murder charges against Elias Emilo Chavez, 22, and Tlaloc Raul Chavez, 22.
On April 1 around 4 p.m., Denver police responded to a 911 call about a shooting involving a tan SUV at a bus stop near the intersection of Federal Boulevard and Alameda Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two people â later identified as Tafoya and Lara â who had been shot. They were transported to the Denver Health Medical Center, where they died.

DENVER Family members say a 59-year old man, who was shot and killed while waiting for a bus on South Federal Boulevard last week, was good-hearted and loved to play the guitar. He was just waiting for the bus to come, minding his own business, said Rosita Cordova, the victim s daughter.
Police say two men were shot late in the afternoon on April 1, at the intersection of South Federal and West Alameda.
