Romario Morgan, 22, of St. Vincent has died while he was in quarantine, intending to be a temporary foreign worker on the Welsh Bros. farm in Brant County.
Charles Welsh, of Welsh Bros.   in Scotland, Ont., said that everyone is in mourning.

âWe donât know what happened,â he said, adding that the farm is waiting to hear back from investigators and officials.
âEveryone is very devastated here. Itâs terrible.â
Morganâs older sister, Roshina Jack, said he was vaccinated in early March before leaving for Canada.
Family wants answers

The family of 22-year old Vincentian Romario Morgan, who was found dead in a hotel in Canada, wants answers.
Reports from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) revealed that Morgan was discovered unresponsive and flat on his back on April 29th, in a Mississauga hotel where he was in quarantine, in accordance with the mandatory 14-day isolation required for persons entering Canada.
According to Morgan’s older sister, Roshina Jack, Morgan had received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine in early March before he left the country. He was in Ontario to pick fruits and his cousin had gone with him.

An advocate is demanding better protections for migrant farm workers after a young man from St. Vincent died last week while he was in quarantine in a Mississauga hotel.
Romario Morgan, 22, died on Thursday, April 29 before he was to start work on an Ontario farm. He was found unresponsive and flat on his back in a hotel room. The cause of death is not known.
Chris Ramsaroop, an organizer with the activist group Justice for Migrant Workers, said there should be an independent investigation into Morgan s death to determine if there is a connection to his work.
