An addiction to online gaming led a man to murder his mother so that he could claim her life insurance payout and settle his mountain of debt, police have said.
As per the police report, Himanshu was engrossed in gaming on the well-known Zupee platform. His habit caused him to take out loans to feed his addiction, which led to him borrowing almost ₹4 lakh in debt to keep playing, according to the police.
The accused, identified as Himanshu, allegedly killed his mother to secure a ₹50 lakh insurance benefit, then disposing of her body near the Yamuna river bank. | Latest News India
