The credit lending of banks in the agriculture sector in the state is significantly below the goal fixed by Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The total lending of banks as on December 31, 2023 was around Rs 1.2 lakh crore while the agriculture loans were approximately Rs 18,897 crore.
