On the eighth of Tevet, the Egyptian King Ptolemy had the Torah translated into Greek, and we had days of spiritual darkness. On the 10th of Tevet, the siege of Jerusalem began. According to the Zohar, Tevet is a month of “strict and dangerous justice” for us.
