NEW BEDFORD  After the success of BuyBlackNB’s first pop-up vendor market at the Rotch-Jones-Duff-House in June, the organization will host another event to celebrate National Black Business Month on Aug. 28. “There was something so special about our Juneteenth market,” said Justina Perry, creator of BuyBlackNB. Since starting the organization in June 2020, Perry has worked hard to bring exposure to Black-owned businesses in the SouthCoast region. “The sense of community among the vendors and the energy from those who attended.it was beautiful and it was just the feeling I hoped this event would promote. We’re proving that this concept works in our city and if you build it people will come,” Perry said in a press release.
