Governor Beazley quietly starts a progressive party

Margaret Beazley might have made history at Government House on Friday with a decidedly new-age end of year celebration. The Governor, who is a former president of the NSW Court of Appeal, invited a number of friends and associates to the historic residence for a spot of yoga followed by sunset drinks. A progressive approach to the festive season indeed.
The group started with a yoga class inside Government House’s public state rooms before heading to the verandah for champagne and canapes while watching the sun set over Bennelong Point.
