Standing on a foam pad held up by the crowd, Twin Cities hip-hop artist Prof had more than 2,500 people jumping and screaming to the lyrics of his opening song before he climbed back onto the stage at Graham Park.
Not much changed the rest of his performance, as a loyal and dedicated fanbase showed out and kept the energy high during Prof s third-ever performance in Rochester.
The concert was one Stationary Astronaut promoter Nikolai Zeppa, also known as Nicholas McLaughlin, was hoping for as people congratulated him during Prof s performance for putting Friday s concert together.

The Olmsted County Fair board won t be canceling a planned concert featuring Minneapolis hip-hop artist Prof, which is scheduled for the fairgrounds next month. The Olmsted County Fair Board on Thursday addressed the July 23 concert in a news release after receiving backlash over the headliner. Prof was dropped by Rhymesayers last year, with the record label citing misogynistic tweets that some say perpetuate rape culture.
Controversy regarding the scheduled Prof concert grew last week, with some calling on the show to be canceled and criticizing the fair board for booking the artist, the Rochester Post Bulletin reported.

The Skate Club is a Facebook group that meets at the Soldiers Memorial Field oval every Sunday at 2 p.m.
A few skaters had shovels today to help create paths on the ice.
Co-founder Rosei Skipper says The Skate Club began when she and a friend decided they needed to get more creative during the pandemic.
