The announcement follows an unannounced inspection of the service. The CQC report praised the service provider for its inclusion of additional risk assessments for specific health conditions, such as epilepsy and diabetes. The CQC also recognised the efforts of The Donnington’s commitment to medicine safety and infection prevention control, ensuring medicines were ordered, stored, administered, and recorded in the correct way and provided assurance of the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to shielding/social distancing guidelines in line with COVID-19 policy. Home Manager, Roseann Sweeney, said: “Achieving a ‘good’ CQC rating is a real testament to our continued commitment in delivering the best quality care for our residents, and we’re exceptionally proud to have our efforts recognised within this report.
