Jacksonville bed and breakfast baking to support troops

Blessings on State Bed & Breakfast has joined a national initiative to thank American troops by baking cookies, brownies and other treats to send to service members deployed overseas.
Inn Support of Our Troops began in 2020 as a way to bring inns together to support a good cause during the pandemic, said co-founder Karen Wilson, who, along with her husband, Steve, co-owns The Lion & the Rose Bed & Breakfast in Asheville, North Carolina.
“Our goal is to continue this initiative on an annual basis,” Karen Wilson said. “It is an honor to bake and mail goods to our service members. Both of our dads are veterans. We have a deep respect for all service members and want to let them know how much we appreciate their service and all they do for our country.
