A NEW website has been launched to provide residents and visitors with all the information they need on everything food related in Bridport. The Bridport Food Matters website includes a directory of independent local suppliers, information on community food groups and how and where to access free food, along with tips on how to grow your own and how to adapt to a changing climate. The site is a collaboration between the Bridport Local Food Group, best known for organising the Bridport Food Festival, and Seeding our Future, a local project supporting resilience to climate change. Town councillor Rose Allwork said: “As the effects of climate change begin to bite, it’s going to be ever more vital to have access to good, locally grown food. Bridport Council’s Climate Action Committee is very happy to support an initiative that brings together so much useful information for producers, consumers and voluntary groups
