Marina Vasilevskaya, Belarus first female cosmonaut, successfully launched to the International Space Station from Baikonur in Kazakhstan aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft. The mission overcame delays, with the ISS facing coolant leaks and uncertainties in US-Russia space cooperation.
“Not only Indian cosmonauts are getting trained in Russia, experts from Moscow s space enterprise are helping develop manned spacecraft and engaging in wide-ranging dialogues to boost Delhi s adventure to the stars,” Yuri Borisov, director general of Roscosmos, told Russia Today television channel this week.
Russian and U.S. space agencies have agreed to keep working together to deliver crews to the International Space Station (ISS) until at least 2025, Russian corporation Roscosmos said Thursday.
Police on Friday detained the deputy director of Russia's space agency Roscosmos over the suspected embezzlement of 4.3 million euros ($4.7 million) from the crisis-hit sector.
