A massive stash of fireworks exploded inside a southern California residence Tuesday, killing two people as it rocked a neighborhood and sparked a ferocious fire that stranded a horse in debris.
Dramatic bystander video posted on Twitter showed a cloud of smoke above the scene shortly before a deafening blast shot flames and debris so high in the sky, it could be seen over the tops of nearby trees and houses.
“We are confirming that two bodies were found deceased on the property of the fire. We don’t know the identities of the individuals yet or if they were residents,” city spokesman Dan Bell told the Daily News.
