Nevadans will begin deciding the future of our country. Most of the early voting sites open at nine in the morning. 8 news now reporter karen castro takes a look at final preparations and how clark county is keeping voter information safe. karen castro were inside the clark county election department. This is where they keep all their equipment. In fact, these are the machines that are going to be going out to the different sites. Crews have been out all day setting up 28 early voting locations around the valley. Clark county began using touchscreen machines in 2004. These macn provides a paper receipt copy that is used as a backup. The cartridges inside the machines are taken out daily during early voting and brought back to the election department. Where they are stored in a vault overnight.
