Emmy Award-winning producer and writer Gregory Cahill teamed up with a group of Cambodian co-workers to create a book that sheds light on the life and legacy of Ros Serey Sothea, Cambodia’s most beloved golden age star.
An event to launch the Khmer-language version of the graphic novel “The Golden Voice Queen” – which is about the life and career of one of the Kingdom’s most famed singers, Ros Serey Sothea – was attended by a large crowd of hundreds of young people on November 30.
Recently, Ros Saboeun – sister to Cambodian singer Ros Serey Sothea, dubbed “The Golden Voice” back in the 1960’s – celebrated what would have been the singer’s 74th birthday at the stupa dedicated to her and other victims of the Khmer Rouge located in Phnom Srouch district of Kampong Speu province.
