Youth Wednesday thrives at Calvary Chapel March 14 2021
Youth group, which is available every week, helps kids get to know each other and God s word
It may sound cliché, but youth are our future! This is no less true for our churches than for our nation, government, community, institutions and universities. Unfortunately, many churches that have enjoyed decades of fellowship, ministry and relationship among their contemporaries discover they haven t taken time to invest in the upcoming generations. These are who must carry on the work long after their elders are gone.
The generations to come not only carry on the legacy of the local church facilities and resources, but most importantly, are responsible for spreading the message of the gospel. As the psalmist says, A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation, they will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, that He has done this. (Psalm 22:30-31)
Celebrating a cowboy Christmas Eve
Calvary Chapel Paulina invited the locals to a celebration of Christ s birth
This was our second Christmas as a church at Calvary Chapel Paulina, and though it has been an especially strange and tumultuous year, there was much to rejoice in. With that, the whole community was invited out to a special celebration of Christ s birth – Paulina style.
We came together to celebrate the hope of the gospel, that God became flesh and dwelt among us, beginning in the womb of the virgin Mary and making that appearance on earth in a stable in Bethlehem of Judea. The Christ child was born to die, so that we might live; His sacrificial death atoning for the sins of the world that we might be forgiven and set free to know Him and make Him known to the world.
