Contactless virtual plant sale at College of Lake County

The horticulture department at College of Lake County will hold its annual plant sale fundraiser virtually this year. Beginning Monday, April 19 through Monday, May 3, purchase plants online using credit card payment only. Proceeds help support CLC horticulture student scholarships, internships and program enhancements. Community members look forward to this sale every spring, said horticulture department chair Rory Klick. Gardeners are always excited to get started planting and we re very happy to offer the sale virtually this year. Our students in horticulture production and sustainable agriculture have helped grow a wide range of annuals, perennials, fruits, vegetables, herbs and houseplants as part of their hands-on coursework and gain real world experience as growers.
