Suspicious devices found in Wheatland while serving a search warrant related to a homicide prompted nearby evacuations, police said Wednesday. Dispatchers received a call around 12:45 a.m. reporting a shooting in the 200 block of G Street, the Wheatland Police Department said. A 41-year-old man identified as Rory Banks was identified as the suspect and booked into the Yuba County Jail. A weapon was found at the scene.
