The Second District Volunteers are proud to announce that we have entered a contract to purchase a new state-of-the-art Heavy Duty Rescue Squad. This unit will replace our aging 2003 Pierce Dash rescue engine. Squad 6 will be built by PIERCE Manufacturing in Appleton, WI.

Carson City Sheriff’s Office Search And Rescue is recruiting. CCSSAR works directly for the Sheriff’s Office supporting the Operations and Detective Divisions. We also provide assistance to Carson City Fire Department, Parks, BLM, USFS, and neighboring counties.
