Roosevelt Row holds monthly bike tours to see downtown Phoenix murals

PHOENIX - Beautiful murals are displayed all throughout Roosevelt Row, and anyone can have the chance to learn about the history behind them through a bike tour happening once a month. The murals on Roosevelt Row is one of the things we re particularly known for, said Nicole Underwood, community engagement director with Roosevelt Row s Welcome Center.
The next bike tour date is still being set, but it s a six-mile long ride with chances to stop and soak in the mural s story.

When muralist Isaac Caruso’s family gathered at the dinner table at night, his dad always had a story to share about longtime Phoenix Councilmember Calvin Goode.
Caruso’s father was a social worker who frequently worked with Goode on various initiatives.
“My dad would come home from work every day and tell me about these really interesting stories about this character named Calvin, and how he did business. His lessons to me about Calvin were just like, this is how you be a man, this is how you get stuff done, Caruso said.
