Folks who live here along south 1th street tell me the last time the creek caused flooding was back in 97. But they say it was nothing like what they have seen here today coyote creek rising fast tuesday behind homes here on south 17th street in san jose this is very unusual, this is crazyi have been here since 1970 and i have never seen it this highresidents with low laying backyards are trying to prevent the water from flooding their homes. In some cases, it is a lost cause. The creek level has increased 10feet. Here you see the water is rising up to the roof line of this home. The efforts dont make a dent in the damage done, so many volunteers say they will be back again tomorrow. Wanted to flood the city with love and make a difference with our efforts. Volunteers who want to pitch in can show up at the Roosevelt Community center between 8 00 and 3 00 tomorrow. They want to branch out to other neighborhoods. This is a perfect example of how disasters bring out the best in people. Are you surprised about what youre seeing down there . Not at all. Thats something i say all the time. This food fight between the white house and the media is beneficial to both sides. Ratings are up for the media and trump gets raptures when hes in front of his audience. It may not be good for the public. Using this as a way to prepare to discredit reports that may be strongly reported and a great public significance. Students say it strengthens their resolve to pursue a career in journal. The event starts in less than an hour well be talking more about that and also another cleanup effort getting under way in san jose, the Community Center will open its doors.
