Texas Flag to Fly at Half Mast for Fallen Deputies
SAN ANGELO, TX – On Wednesday, Governor Greg Abbott approved a request by Concho County Judge David Dillard to fly the Texas flag at half-mast in honor of Deputy Sheriff Stephen Jones and Deputy Sheriff Samuel Leonard. The First Lady and I extend our prayers of comfort to the families of Deputy Jones and Deputy Leonard during their time of grief, said Abbott in the statement. I urge all Texans to remember and honor their public service to the State of Texas as dedicated law enforcement professionals.
The Texas flag will remain at half-mast until sunset on the day of the last funeral service.
