HOLMES COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) - A local truck driver is lucky not to have been injured after someone threw a deer off a bridge onto his semi-truck.

A viewer says she witnessed two people dangling the deer over the bridge and then dropping it. The deer went all the way into the cab of the truck. The driver was not hurt.

DURANT, Miss. (AP) The Mississippi Highway Patrol continued searching Friday for people who tossed a deer off a bridge over Interstate 55 and onto an 18-wheeler. It happened Wednesday night in rural Holmes County, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) north of Jackson. The animal’s body slid into the cab, but the driver was not injured and did not wreck. WLBT-TV reported that another driver told investigators she saw two people dangling the deer over.
