A little more than200 Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. customers remained without power Saturday afternoon in the wake of a wind and rain storm that raked the Mid-Hudson Valley and Catskills late Thursday and early Christmas Day.
At the height of the outages, Friday morning, about 42,000 of Central Hudson s 306,000 customers were without electricity across the utility s eight-county coverage area.
The utility reported on its website at 7:00 p.m. Saturday that it had 204 customers without power remaining, including just 15 in Ulster County (down from a high of about 14,000) and 70 in Dutchess County (down from a peak of about 15,400). The website also said active outages were down to 41.
