(Picture by Shanice King) Social Share The Royal Barbados Police Force has issued some guidelines for public safety in light of the ashfall from the explosive eruptions of the La Soufriere Volcano in St Vincent. “The island of St Vincent has recently experienced an eruption of the La Soufrière volcano. This event has impacted several other islands across the region including Barbados, which has been experiencing ashfall islandwide. “This ashfall is expected to continue for an extended period and will continue to impact road users across Barbados. The Royal Barbados Police Force is advising that all road users observe the following guidelines to heighten road safety awareness whilst utilising the island’s roadways during this period,” a statement from RBPF today said.

by DevilsAdvocate / February 8th, 2021 Northern Division Officers continue to seek a solution what led to a road traffic collision involving two motor cars and a pickup truck which occurred about 2:00 pm am on Saturday 6th February 2021 along the Bennetts section of the Ronald Mapp Highway near its junction with Christie Village road. S U M M A R Y The motor cars were travelling along the mentioned road in a northern direction towards the St Thomas Parish Church while the truck was travelling in the opposite. For some reason under investigation, there was a collision which resulted in all three vehicles receiving extensive damage. Five persons who were travelling in the vehicles complained of injuries and all sought medical attention.

Five injured in Highway accident

Social Share Five people had to seek medical attention on Saturday after being involved in a three-vehicle accident on the Ronald Mapp Highway near the junction with Christie Village road in St Thomas. They five, who complained of various injuries, were travelling in two cars and a pickup truck. The cars were both going north, while the truck was going in the opposite direction around 2 p.m. when the collision occurred. All three vehicles were extensively damaged.
