State’s Attorney Jaymi Sterling announced today that Jevontez Davis, 22, of Mechanicsville, Maryland, was sentenced to Life in prison with 50 years of active incarceration for the shooting homicide of a teenager.
On August 22, 2020, at approximately 12:30 a.m. deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 21800 block of Ronald Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported shooting.
Additional arrests were made on February 26, 2022, in the fatal shooting that occurred in Lexington Park on January 12, 2022. Jevontez Deqwon Davis, age 21 of Mechanicsville, and Thomas Darnell Evans, age 23 of Lexington Park
