The new police chief in charge of the Minnesota State Fair says your safety and security will be his top priority. And this year, more officers from more agencies will be on the ground.
The addition of more cameras, metal detectors, coordination with other agencies are part of a wide-ranging response to public safety challenges on and off the fairgrounds in recent years.
More officers will be at work during the Minnesota State Fair this year, officials have beefed up the fence line around the fairgrounds, and additional security cameras are in place, the Fair’s police chief said Thursday.
