The plea deal was 23 days in jail but the judge went above that and sentenced them to 60 days in jail, 230 hours of Community Service and three years probation. They are ok with this although some wanted more punishment for them. Many got a chance to speak in court today. Their main concern was not only animal cruelty but fraud. They claimed that the hughes lied to them about how their dogs would be treated.
