it s a huge problem dwroefr come. it s not easy to beat an incumbent president, and mitt romney is no ronald reagan or bill clinton. when you have an incumbent president with 8% unemployment, it s very difficult to win. romney has proven to be the worst candidate we ve seen in perhaps 30, 40 years. i go back to steve s memory now when we get into 50, 60, 70 years. i agree with what s said including your points about mccain. if romney ran in 08 as he is now, obviously he did run in 08 and it didn t work out with him. one day we blame romney, and we ve seen a lot of blame for romney throughout the campaign. one day blaming the polling and liberal media. i think that s a stretch. when do we look at the ideology and the difficult sell that is for the american people. when you have a party where the conventional wisdom is that this is a party that is here for the rich to serve the rich and the
killing three soldiers in the country s southern helmand province. cnn s chris lawrence is live from the pentagon. what are your sources telling you about this attack this morning? well, john, they say they are still trying to figure out whether this was actually a true afghan police officer or someone just wearing the uniform. although the taliban is claiming that this was an actual afghan policeman who lured these three soldiers to his residence or to a party and had planned to kill them for some time. u.s. military officials are now confirming that part of the detail. but again, it speaks to a larger issue, which is trust in the fact that if this is a so-called green on blue attack, where afghan troops turn on their american allies, it would be the third time just this week. in fact, in the big picture, there have been more attacks already this year of that kind than all of last year, john. all right, chris lawrence at the pentagon. the story developing at this momen
doing is really trying to show the contrast between romney who s playing right into it, right? he s the one who s talking about you all are envious of the fact that i ve made this mean and i can afford $10 million homes. so i think that really trying to find that chink in romney s armor which i think has been hard so far, i think it s brilliant. what s interesting is, they tried there s always a tttac you would have expected in the republican primary, the biggest one is obama care. i m using that in quotes. you know, it kept going flat and they kept raising it and it kept going flat. this seems to be the only thing that s getting at him, which is fascinating. it was the thing that i think everybody knew would be raised in the general election. remember, when romney ran in 94 we talked to randy johnson who worked at a plant that was closed. we talked to him last weekend.
