DPWH to improve roads leading to Aurora tourist hubs

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga - The Department of Public Works and Highways - Aurora District Engineering Office (DPWH-ADEO) will improve roads leading to major tourist destinations in Dingalan, Aurora. The road concreting projects in the villages of Ibona, Matawe and Paltic, all in Dingalan town, are under the convergence program of the DPWH and the Department of Tourism. Aurora lone district Rep. Rommel Angara, in a statement on Tuesday, cited the efforts of the national government to improve road connectivity in Dingalan's tourism hotspots where Matawe Beach and Rock Formations, Paltic Beach and Dingalan Lighthouse, Laktas Falls, and Abungan Falls are located. The national government has allocated some PHP29.46 million for three road concreting projects. Of the total funds, around PHP15.20 million has been earmarked for the concreting of an 800-lineal meter road in Barangay Ibona and is expected to be completed within 137 calendar days.
