Our Correspondent Diphu, Aug. 3 (EMN): On receiving specific information by Bakalia Police Station on extortion demand given to several individuals in the name of newly formed extremist organisation as Karbi United Liberation Army (KULA), 2022, over phone and via serving demand letters, two individuals Thengtom Hanse@ Arak Ejang of Sar Hanse Gaon and Pranab Timung @Sedang Tungan village were arrested. After technical analysis and engaging human sources, few suspected phone numbers were traced and the accused Thengtom Hanse under Diphu Police Station was located and picked up for interrogation, police said. Pranab Timung of No. 2 Balijan under Bakalia Police Station was also arrested who is the general secretary of KULA.
