Police said Adrian I. Carter, 33, got into an argument with a woman at a residence on Cedarbrook Drive at about 10 a.m. Thursday. Police said Carter threatened the woman with a firearm during the argument. When police executed a search warrant at the home, they said they seized four illegally-possessed handguns and two illegally-possessed rifles.
Police in the city of Rome are asking for the public's assistance in finding this week's two-time Mohawk Valley Crime Stoppers Wanted Person of the Week.
Piping hot eggs, sausage and pancakes were served at the Zion Episcopal Church on West Liberty Street, cooked by the Delta Lake Kiwanis Club. The Rome branch of the NAACP hosted the meal, as they have done for many years. Honor Society students from Strough Middle School helped with serving coffee and other drinks.
Police said Timothy W. Covey, of Rome, touched the adult woman s private area sometime in the early morning hours of Dec. 19 in the 400 block of N. Madison St. Police said the woman was incapacitated due to medications at the time.
Police said Latoya L. Jenkins, 35, had been previously barred from Rome Health when she showed up at about 7 p.m. Dec. 12 for no legitimate purpose. Police said Jenkins started causing a disturbance at the hospital and the officers were en route. Jenkins then pulled the fire alarm at the hospital, authorities stated.
