Hungary and five other countries have called on the European Commission to ban the import of agricultural products from Ukraine until the end of 2023. The corresponding statement was made by the Minister of Agriculture of Hungary Istvan Nagy. Nagy believes that farmers from all EU countries should receive financial support from the EC for the damage suffered earlier. Earlier, Romanian Agriculture Minister Petre Daya said that the EU is ready to consider the possibility of suspending grain imports from Ukraine if Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovakia lift unilateral import bans.
