EUGENE, Ore. – Three Arkansas victories and three runner-up efforts highlighted the second day of the Hayward Premiere as the University of Oregon opened its reimagined Hayward Field this weekend.
One of the three wins for the Hogs on Saturday also included a historical note as James Milholen claimed the 400m from lane 9, becoming the first person to win a race at Hayward Field from that lane now that the new configuration of the track includes nine lanes.
Milholen clocked a career best of 46.75 to better the field and improve upon his previous best of 47.07. Finishing runner-up in 47.37 was Oregon’s Jacoby McNamara.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas moved into the team lead during the second day of the SEC Indoor Championships by scoring 50 points Friday from three finals inside Randal Tyson Track Center.
The Razorbacks have scored 57 points overall and lead the field by 23 points through six of 17 finals. Following the Hogs are LSU (34), Ole Miss (25), Alabama (20), Auburn (18.5), Georgia (17), Tennessee (16), Texas A&M (16), and Florida (15).

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A bevy of big marks verified the caliber of teams competing in the Razorback Invitational this weekend inside the Randal Tyson Track Center as Arkansas produced its share of national level performances.
In team scoring Oregon edged out the Razorbacks, who didn’t run the 4×400 or distance medley relays, by a single point, 117-116, while Ole Miss finished third with 73 points. The rest of the field included Georgia (64), USC (30), Iowa State (24), Mississippi State (22), and Colorado (16).
“It was an outstanding track meet across the board,” stated men’s head coach Chris Bucknam. “There were a lot of national leading performances, certainly our guys were part of that. We had some great efforts, which included the heptathlon, hurdles, sprints and 3k.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Another team victory for the Razorbacks during the Wooo Pig Classic on Friday featured a school record by freshman thrower Ruben Banks and a sub-four-minute mile by Amon Kemboi at Randal Tyson Track Center.
Arkansas totaled 113 points to top a field of national caliber teams which included Southern California (84), Kentucky (81.5), Texas (60.5), LSU (54), Missouri (24), and Oklahoma State (6).
“We’re not really putting a line-up together to score maximum amount of points,” said Arkansas men’s coach Chris Bucknam. “It’s everyone’s second meet of the season, and everybody is kind of doing the same thing we are. We’re feeling out where kids are best at and not over doing it. It’s been a long time since we competed.
