Residents of the Upper Ottawa Valley will remember her as a mild-mannered reporter for the Pembroke Observer and News, but like mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent of The Daily Planet, there’s super side to Celina Ip.
In February, Ip launched her own online business called Lil Heroes. She creates handmade superhero play kits to spread positivity and teach kids about the importance of being kind, helping others, having hope and believing in oneself. Each play kit includes a handmade felt cape, eye mask and other tools that Ip hopes will imbue kids with the confidence to be real-world superheroes, ready to spread some kindness, hope and humour in our world.
