MANILA-Two more regional wage boards have approved an increase in the salary of minimum wage earners ranging from PHP32 to PHP34. According to Director Rolly Francia, Information and Publication Service (IPS), the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) in Regions 4-B (Mimaropa) and 12 (Soccsksargen) have approved salary adjustments for private-sector employees last Friday. He said the Board in Region 4-B also granted an increase in the take-home pay of domestic workers there. The PHP35 wage increase was given under Wage Order No. RB-Mimaropa-10, bringing the new minimum wage rate to PHP329 for establishments with less than 10 workers and PHP355 for establishments employing 10 or more. Also, the Board issued Wage Order No. RB-Mimaropa-DW-03 granting a monthly increase of PHP1,000, bringing the new monthly wage rate for domestic workers in the region to PHP4,500.
