In gilroy, Christmas Tree park, the home of the gilroy garlic festival, is one of many parks damaged by thieves over the past two years. As Marianne Favro explains city leaders are ready to spend big to stop it from happening again. Reporter this is Christmas Hill park where the gilroy garlic festival is held every year. Recently thieves stole copper wire from this box. That costs the city 145,000. Now gilroy plans to hire security guards to prevent that from happening again.
