The Philadelphia Eagles traded back up in the NFL Draft to select Heisman Trophy Winner DeVonta Smith with the 10th overall pick to pair with Jalen Hurts. To add to things, they then turned around and selected the best center in the nation, Landon Dickerson, in the 2nd round.
The Eagles boasted a formidable defense in 2020, but their offense, manned by Carson Wentz, was one of the worst in the NFL. So spending significant draft capital to pick some of the players from the best offense in college football has generally been considered a wise move.
