61-year-old dies in Red Hook fire
A 61-year-old man died in a Red Hook fire Wednesday morning.
The Dutchess County Sheriff s office identified the victim as John G. Boles IV. The cause of his death and of the fire is under investigation by several agencies, including the county Medical Examiner s Office. However, the sheriff s office said a preliminary investigation indicated the cause to be accidental, and the fire is not considered suspicious.
The Red Hook Fire Company and Tivoli Fire Department were dispatched to the fire on Rokeby Road, where someone was reported to be trapped in the home, at 6:47 a.m.

A developer fighting with the City of Subiaco over the future of two crumbling buildings has taken matters to court in a last-minute bid to avoid repairing the properties it wants to demolish.
An urgent hearing was scheduled for Friday afternoon by Western Australiaâs State Administration Tribunal after Sanur applied to restrain building orders the council issued on Thursday.
Hay Street has been closed off since February amid fears two buildings would collapse.
