The network claims the accelerating demand for digital banking has pushed traditional services to a tipping point . 3 3 3 Fifteen Bank of Ireland branches will also close in Northern Ireland. The bank network is also announcing a new partnership with An Post, that it says will offer customers access to a range of banking services at more than 900 locations. The partnership will allow customers to continue carrying out a range of banking services including withdrawing cash and cheque lodgments. Bank of Ireland have assured no location in Ireland will be left without access to financial or cash services. They say many locations will see an enhancement of services through the An Post partnership, but four locations will only maintain an ATM.

The same number of workers are expected to arrive this year. Minister McConalogue said these workers are classified as essential workers.
