AHMEDABAD: Pooja Shukla, a dentist working as a hospital administrator in Vancouver in Canada, and Rohan Jani, an engineer settled in the same city, returned to India for their engagement. Their excursion to their native place was spoiled by Gujarat’s dry laws when they were allegedly caught boozing with their friends.
While releasing them on bail, the court ordered to impound their passports, making it impossible for them to return to Canada and report at their workplaces in time. However, the court later permitted them to go to Canada, but they will have to return and deposit their passports again with the court after six months.
