Police have praised the community for their respectful behaviour during Anzac Day services and marches in Sydney today.
Operation Anzac Day 2021 was established to ensure the community could commemorate today (Sunday 25 April 2021) safely and events were conducted in line with current Public Health Orders.
In Sydney’s CBD, general duties police patrolled event areas with assistance from specialist police, including the Public Order and Riot Squad, Operations Support Group, Mounted Unit, PolAir, Licensing Police, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, and the Police Transport Command.
Operation Commander, Acting Assistant Commissioner Rohan Cramsie, said most people showed respect towards each other and our service personnel.
