Upon arrival, troopers found two vehicles were involved. Fire and emergency medical services personnel also responded to the scene.

UPDATE 5/5/2021 @ 10:15 p.m.: Maryland State Police are continuing an investigation into a traffic crash in Charles County that killed two people.
The first deceased is identified as Cynthia H. Froehlich, 64, of White Plains, Md. She was the driver and only occupant of a 2016 Toyota Camry.
The second deceased is identified as Courtney D. Woodward, 31, of California, Md. She was the driver and only occupant of a 2020 Hyundai Accent.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m. today, troopers from the La Plata Barrack were dispatched to a traffic crash reported on Rt. 6 in the area of Rogers Mill Place, La Plata, Md. Upon arrival, troopers found two vehicles were involved. Fire and emergency medical services personnel also responded to the scene.
Two Maryland women are dead following a wrong-way crash Wednesday in Charles County, police said.
Maryland State Police said Cynthia Froehlich, 64, of White Plains, and Courtney Woodward, 31, of the California community in St. Mary’s County, died after their vehicles crashed on Md. Route 6 in La Plata.
State troopers were called to Route 6 near Rogers Mill Place around 3 p.m. Wednesday for the crash, which involved Froehlich’s 2016 Toyota Camry and Woodward’s 2020 Hyundai Accent.
Witnesses told police that Woodward’s Hyundai had been driving in a “negligent” manner in the moments leading up the crash, according to a news release from state police.

COLUMBIANA James R. “Jim” Golladay, passed peacefully Monday morning, Jan. 4, 2021, with his wife by his side.
Jim was born Sept. 21, 1944, in Steubenville, the son of Robert and Thiery Lodge Golladay. He was a 1962 graduate of Cambridge High School.
Jim was a tremendous person to all furry friends and humankind alike. If you were fortunate to have met him, you’d have adored him immediately… he was just that kind of person. Upon meeting him, you did not go from stranger to friend. In his eyes, you went from stranger to family.
Jim’s career was long and successful. He had the entrepreneurial spirit and believed fully in the free market. He partnered with his father at the Rogers Mill in Rogers, right after high school and grew the business to overcapacity, leading to the founding of his greatest success, Ohio Pet Foods, in 1978.
