Sanchez, as a per-diem sub, is not a member of the Providence Teachers Union.
The new health clinics, called SMART Clinics, have become a bone of contention with the union, which claims the district is trying to privatize nursing within the schools.
In tweets posted last week, Sanchez said: “I am very disappointed with [the Providence schools and the state Department of Education]. They never posted the zoom links and made the informative session open to the public in regards to the Smart Clinics. I m being told just tonight that these sessions were apparently only for parents of the students.

PROVIDENCE â Black students accounted for 30 percent of all arrests in Providence schools between the 2016-17 school year and the 2019-20 school year, even though they made up just 16 percent of the student population, according to a report released Wednesday by the Center for Youth and Community Leadership in Education (CYCLE) at Roger Williams University.
