CVCC Volleyball Continues Straight Set Wins

Set scores were 25-14, 25-8 and 25-5
Sophomore outside Aasia McNeill led the charge for CVCC (11-0) with 11 kills, while freshmen middle hitters Delaney Conner and Kennya Sykes added eight kills apiece.
Catawba Valley sophomore setter Amber Barker recorded a team-best 33 assists her third 30-assist match this season.
McNeill also led the Red Hawks with a team-high 11 digs on defense and a team-leading two aces.
The 46 total kills and .407 hitting percentage by CVCC in Friday’s match are the second most in both categories during a match this season.
CVCC Volleyball Wins Over Fayetteville Tech, Louisburg
Amber Barker had a career high 41 assists in the match against Fayetteville Tech and added another 29 assists in the win over Louisburg.

With the conference wins, the Red Hawks are now 13-0 overall and 10-0 in Region 10 play.

Playing in their fifth match in six days, the Red Hawks fended off a challenge from the Trojans in a thrilling five-set win.
Set scores were 23-25, 25-17, 24-26, 25-15 and 15-10.
Sophomore outside hitter Aasia McNeill and sophomore setter Amber Barker tallied career-best performances during the match. McNeill recorded a career-high 21 kills, while Barker made a career-high 41 assists.
