Sugarhouse Soundworks gears up for summer
A secret musical sanctuary lies in the big red barn-like building at the end of the Mad River Park in Waitsfield. Musicians come from far and wide just to have a chance to record and perform at SugarHouse Soundworks, a studio with a beautiful mountainous exterior, inspiring high-tech interior and production-savvy executors.
“We’re really busy here,” said Sugarhouse Soundworks co-founder Eric Sigsbey. “If you’ve never been here, you might now understand why we’ve become so successful over the past few years.” Advertisement
Sugarhouse Soundworks has worked with musicians such as Cabinet, Twiddle, The Wesli Band, Laura Love, The Grift, Soule Monde, Walk that Walk and Guy and Jeska Forsyth for starters.
WMRW s 2012 Summer Benefit Concert
On Friday the 24th of August, WMRW s 2012 Summer Benefit Concert was a huge success thanks to all of the volunteers, performers, and generous donors who attended the celebration helping us to meet our fundraising goal for 2012 and have a great time in the process!
A very special thank you goes out to The Eames Brothers Band, Haywire, and Louis Brown, who performed in support our Community Radio Station, to Chef Tim Seniff and Quayle Rewinski who provided a mind altering BBQ, and to Roger Stauss of Noteworthy Recording Studios for his sound engineering expertise!
The details of the financial results are not completely clear yet, but it appears we cleared over $3000, which when combined with the spring fundraiser covers our annual $10,800 operating expenses for 2012 and covers us into the beginning of 2013!
