Jurors at Coventry Crown Court heard six-year-old Arthur Labinjo-Hughes was subjected to a campaign of cruelty which matched the medical definition of child torture before his death.

A baby boy was twice treated for fractured ribs before losing his fight for life in hospital, an inquest has heard.
Medical experts have revealed that Phoenix-Jo Jones was found with fractured ribs 10 days before his death.
He was then further treated after the ribs were found to have fractured again around 36 hours before he passed away.

The grieving parents of a two-year-old girl will never know exactly what led to her death. Esme Allen had been put to bed along with her four-year-old sister at their home on Carmount Road, Abbey Hulton, at around 8.30pm on April 5 last year.
Her dad Joshua Allen went to check on his daughters at around 1am before himself and their mum went to bed.
