(WLBT) - A central Mississippi healthcare clinic brings in new resources to help treat COVID-19 patients. The G. A. Carmichael Family Health Center in Canton is bringing in four mobile isolation units to its facility. The units will be used to treat, vaccinate, and isolate patients. “The idea of having mobile, deployable, relocatable, medical care is a huge advantage,” said Roger Krulak, president and founder of FullStack Modular, the company that created the units. Krulak said he first got the vision to create a mobile healthcare center after seeing the battles many clinics are facing due to the pandemic.

Health official: Cutting-edge medical units to help Mississippi health center against virus Gabriela Szymanowska, Mississippi Clarion Ledger A health center in Canton is the first in the country to receive mobile hospital rooms to help patients with COVID-19, according to a health official.  Four units arrived Friday morning to G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center and were assembled into one pod structure that will be used for patients getting tested for the coronavirus, said Dr. James Coleman, the health center s chief executive. The sterile, mobile hospital rooms will improve efficiency in separating patients with preexisting conditions from those who potentially have the coronavirus.
