Commissioners begrudgingly approved sending out supplemental property tax bills to collect extra money under an order from the Montana Supreme Court sparked by a dispute with the state.
Last month, the Montana Supreme Court ruled against a county-led effort to challenge the way the state calculates property tax rates. Now, counties are working to get in line with that decision.
